The CAST Technium Building at Bangor University is a high-tech environment designed for software development, innovation and industry collaboration. With frequent tenant changes and a constant reconfiguration of office and function spaces, the building required a highly flexible wayfinding system that could adapt quickly while maintaining a professional, technology-driven identity.

Our Approach
We created a modular, insert-based signage system that allowed tenants, room names and directional information to be updated in minutes without replacing entire signs. A clear numbering hierarchy simplified navigation across all floors, and bilingual messaging was structured to avoid confusion. We designed an elegant, contemporary visual style that reflected the building’s high-tech purpose while integrating seamlessly into the architectural environment.
Results
The new system provided CAST with a clean, consistent and future-proof wayfinding approach. Staff and visitors could orient themselves quickly, and the building’s frequent internal changes became far easier to manage. Bangor University praised the strategy for its clarity, flexibility and professional presentation ensuring the building continues to feel coherent even as its internal structure evolves.
